She had to be airlifted to the "Med" in Memphis. The Med is a trauma center and she remains in the Trauma ICU. She has had three surgeries since arriving at the hospital and is still in very critical condition. We are asking for prayers. We saw her today and she is just beginning to show some small improvement. She will have many more surgeries before all is corrected. Thank God, there were no head injuries." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01/03/10 - Moderator's Yearly Report from Mary Weber, PWS Moderator ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/12/09 - Mississippi PW Winter Retreat Registration Brochure ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12/12/09 - Mississippi: Briarwood Presbyterian Church Horizons Bible Study Group ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11/14/09 - See "Thank Offering" - St. Andrew ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11/01/09 - Mary Weber writes: Peace Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY will be the recipient of the 2010 Birthday Offering! Marjorie Thomson, Mid South (10/05/09) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I need to remind Moderators about the 10 items for the Market at the Synod Gathering in June 2010. This new "Post It" would be a great way to remind them. Have a great day. Thank you. Ann Wood (10/03/09) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Gals, We had our Spiritual Growth Retreat this past weekend. We invited Rabbi Brent Feidler (Messianic) and some from his congregation. They led Praise and Worship (and he even blew the shofar) and spoke to us throughout the weekend on the Fall Feasts from Leviticus 23; Rosh Hashana (Feasts of Trumpets), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and Sukkoth (Feast of Tabernacles). It was educational and inspiring. I believe everyone left feeling that they could now connect Jesus to the Old Testament with much more ease. We took the "necklace" tradition to the Fall Gathering and the Retreat and have collected $285.00 for one of our local ministries, Sunset Gap. Jackie Riddle, Holston Presbytery (09/28/09) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT!" East Tennessee is taking a 'twist on the "usual" this fall by having three Fall Cluster Gatherings geared to the topography of presbytery. Less driving, programs planned by each Cluster and planned by the PW in that area. All three plan variations on the theme of the Churchwide Gathering that God will do and is doing wonders with us as women. One cluster has developed the theme "God will do wonders among us... Be a wonder woman... No cape needed!" the Gathering will include a labyrinth opportunity, overview of our Joshua Bible Study, a time to talk with officers, chairman and other women with the same responsibilities to share and the sharing of Communion.
