CELEBRATING THE BIRTHDAY OFFERING

It has been suggested that you might want to publish the plans of Fondren Presbyterian Church for celebrating the Birthday Offering.

Since we have two women in our PW who will turn 100 on the very same day, no less, we decided to celebrate their birthdays in conjunction with our Birthday Offering.  The birthdays fall on July 8, but, unable to wait, we are having the Birthday Bash on June 28.  The PW Birthday recipients will of course be presented, but we'll also have a mini "This is Your Life" for each s00n-to-be centenarian.  Their families and neighbors have been invited.  Because Bessie and Sue have so many friends throughout the congregation, men are invited.  Everyone is asked to bring cards for Bessie and Sue.  We think that not many congregations can claim having two women who will be 100 on the same day, and that it was an inspiration to celebrate their birthdays along with PW's birthday.
