The
Outreach Choir
Woodland
Presbyterian Church
Memphis,
Tennessee
Four times a year you will find about thirty men and women from Woodland Presbyterian Church performing at nursing homes in the Memphis Area. This unusual ministry was formed by Libby Trumble, music director, and Dottie Todd about four years ago.
There
are more places to go than time, but a favorite is the Kings Sons and Daughters
Home. Residents there join in singing
and, as in the Fall Western Show, are part of the posse ridding the town of
undesirables.
The scope of the shows has grown over the
years and now includes a costumer, Mary Alma Wilkinson, a craft group who make
gifts for each resident, a handbells choir, the choir and assorted actors.
