Amy Robinson Selected for
PW Mission Study: Focus on Immigration
When I wrote to introduce myself to Amy and congratulate her on her selection for the 2008 USA Mission experience, she wrote back the following:
“To introduce myself, I am 27 years old and in my third year at Louisville Seminary. I rotated off the Churchwide Coordinating Team of Presbyterian Women this July as the co-representative from the National Network of Presbyterian College Women, and have been serving on the planning committee for the first ever PW Mission Study. It’s been a fascinating and exciting process.”
Amy went on to say that, since she applied through her position on the CCT, and not through the Synod, that PW of Living Waters is not required to assist with fundraising for her trip; she would, however, accept assistance if we choose to help her.
My opinion is that we should help Amy. I am particularly excited to have college and seminary women on board with PWS! Amy is looking forward to coming to some of our Gatherings after her Mission trip.
