PW MISSION TRIPS

PW support is requested.

Presbyterian Women of the Synod of Living Waters are honored to have three different women who have been selected to attend PW mission trips in 2008:

Anna McIlwain, Sheppards and Lapsley,

will go on the Global Exchange, “Joined and Knit Together in Love,” to Eastern Europe in September 2008.

Melinda Harden, Sheppards and Lapsley, and Amy Robinson, Mid-Kentucky,

have been selected to participate in the USA Mission Experience, “Beyond Borders: PW Focus on Immigration” that will be held in April 2008 in Juarez.

As the time nears for each of these trips you will find information in Horizons Magazine and on the Presbyterian Women website: www.pcusa.org/pw

The cost for these trips will be $4,500 for Eastern Europe, and $1,500 for each participant in the USA Mission Experience, making a total of $7,500. We are requested to “assist the participant to raise funds…”

Our Churchwide committees for these two trips ask us to discuss these Mission opportunities with your coordinating team and “contribute as you are able.”

Participation in these mission trips will result in changed lives and openness to seeing the world in a different light. In giving Anna, Melinda and Amy financial support, consider that you are paying the honorarium for a future program interpreting the Mission Experience.
